  • GCSE Maths tutoring helps students prepare for their GCSE exams by focusing on key mathematical concepts, exam techniques, and practice problems. Our tutors guide students through the curriculum, providing support and improving understanding.

  • Our online sessions are held via video call using Google Meet. We share our screen, and use digital tools to make lessons engaging and interactive.

  • You can easily book a session through our website by selecting a time slot that works for you. Once booked, you'll receive a confirmation email with details on how to join the online session.

  • We offer sessions that are either aimed at Higher or Foundation students. You can choose the session that you sign your child up to based on the exams that they are sitting in the summer.

  • Unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds. Follow up resources will be emailed out to help on missed material.

  • Throughout the year, we aim to cover all core topics in the GCSE Maths specification, including Number, Algebra, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Geometry and measures, Probability and Statistics.

  • Sessions are paid for in advance on a termly basis. Payments can be made securely online through our booking system (Acuity Scheduling). You will be able to pay using various methods including credit/debit card and PayPal.

  • Yes, we offer a free trial session for first-time customers. This allows you to experience our tutoring style and decide if it’s the right fit for your child.

  • All our tutors are carefully vetted and background-checked to ensure a safe and positive experience for your child. We also have policies in place to ensure a respectful and productive online learning environment.

  • Yes, both James and Emma are highly experienced secondary teachers with over a decade of experience each. They have a strong background in teaching GCSE Maths with proven results.

  • Every student is different, but with consistent attendance and effort, most students begin to see improvement in their understanding and confidence within a few weeks of tutoring.

  • Yes, as students approach the exam season we offer targeted exam preparation sessions, including practice exams, revision strategies, and tips on how to approach each type of question that might appear on the GCSE Maths exam.

  • A notebook, pen, pencil, ruler and scientific calculator should be all you need for the majority of our sessions. We recommend a Casio calculator.

  • Termly bookings are charged at a fixed price based on the number of sessions included in the term.

  • If you’re unsure whether a termly package is the best option for your child, we recommend trying a trial session. This gives you a feel for our approach, teaching style, and whether it's the right fit for your child’s needs.

  • If we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a makeup session or refund for that specific lesson.
